🛠️ Job Site & Gear FAQ
Are Blue Collar Bankroll graphics going to crack or peel after a few washes?
No. We know job site gear gets covered in dirt, grease, and sawdust, which means it gets thrown into heavy wash cycles and high-heat industrial dryers. We use premium Direct-to-Film (DTF) transfer technology applied with commercial-grade heat presses. Unlike cheap, thin screen-printing or vinyl that flakes off, our graphics stretch with the fabric and are permanently cured into the fibers to outlast the shirt itself.
How should I wash my hoodies and shirts to make them last?
The absolute best way to get the most life out of your gear is to wash it inside out on cold and hang dry. Look, we get it—after pulling a 12-hour shift on the rig or out in the dirt, most guys are just chucking their grit-covered clothes straight into a hot wash and blasting them in the dryer. That’s totally fine. Our DTF transfers and heavy-duty blanks are built to take a beating. But if you want to keep the fleece feeling brand new, prevent the cotton from shrinking, and keep those graphics looking sharp for the long haul, flipping them inside out and skipping the high-heat dryer is the ultimate cheat code.
Are your hoodies actually warm enough for Canadian winters on the site?
Absolutely. We don’t print on cheap, thin promotional blanks. Our primary hoodies are built on the Independent Trading Co. IND4000—the industry gold standard for premium heavyweight fleece. At a massive 10 oz (330 gm) weight with a fleece-lined hood and heavy-gauge drawcords, it’s designed to block the wind and keep you warm on the rig, in the crane cab, or in the trenches. It’s thick enough to act as your primary outer layer or fit perfectly over your thermal base layers during those brutal January mornings in Ontario.
How does the apparel fit? Do I need to size up to wear it over base layers?
Our gear runs true to size with a relaxed, comfortable fit built for mobility. For our core t-shirts, we use the Gildan 75000 Hammer tee—a rugged, 6oz heavyweight cotton shirt that offers a classic, slightly boxier trade fit. You get a thick, durable collar and full range of motion in your shoulders for rigging, lifting, and operating without the shirt riding up. For our IND4000 hoodies, they offer a generous, true-to-size fit. If you prefer a heavily oversized fit to layer three shirts underneath, we recommend sizing up one size.
How do your hats fit?
Our headwear isn't your standard gas-station mesh hat. We specialize in structured 5-panel snapbacks, premium corduroy, and suede-brim designs. They feature a solid front crown that holds its shape even when it's getting tossed on the dash of the truck or stuffed in a gear bag. They are built with a mid-to-high profile and a softer front slant that sits comfortably without looking like a rigid box on your head.
Is Blue Collar Bankroll actually owned by tradesmen?
100%. Our names are Kohl and Ryan, and we are the only two guys behind the brand. We do absolutely everything ourselves—from creating the unique designs to pressing the shirts, packing the orders, and shipping them out. We aren't just selling a lifestyle; we both still work full-time through the week, plus logging overtime on the weekends. With 15 years of experience each in the crane, hoisting, and rigging industry, we know exactly what this life consists of and the toll it takes on your gear. We built this brand because we were tired of corporate workwear that didn't reflect the real grind. When you buy from us, you're backing actual blue-collar workers, not a boardroom.
Do you guys do custom bulk orders for crews and rigs?
Yes. We regularly handle custom runs for specific crews—like doing 40+ heavyweight hoodies for drilling rigs in Western Canada. If your crew needs premium, heavy-duty custom gear with sleeve graphics, custom logos, or safety commitments, hit us up directly at info@bluecollarbankroll.ca for bulk pricing and freight logistics.
